I'll give you a little background on what this assignment was about. We were to judge someone based off of their shoe and their shoe alone, and answer some questions about our person i.e. their personality, favorite things, etc.. I had told my teacher that I don't judge anyone, but she responded with a laugh and told me to write it anyway. So I did, and I decided to share it with all of you.

All black Nike shoes that were recently bought and worn only a few times. It’s basically in mint condition with barely any evidence that anyone wore them. The Nikes are roughly size 10-11 with enough room to accommodate the owner’s size feet. The shoes are well taken care of and treated with the utmost care, however the mileage they have walked seems to be less than twenty but have been used for much more.

Mordekai Anthony King was born and raised in Queens, New York. Mordekai, or better known as Kai, is now twenty years old and still single. Commitment isn’t really his scene, and he’s been with countless girls. He’s got one kid that he knows of, but there could possibly be more. Kai is tall being at least six feet and four inches. Muscles roll beneath his dark, black skin and he’s intimidating. Mordekai has a broad jaw, and is only made more predominate with the pale pink scar running along his jaw line. He has dark brown expressionless eyes that are constantly studying and analyzing people. His eyes look brooding and empty, and only add to his intimidating physique. Kai’s black hair is shaved and only leaves behind a thin layer of it. His black eyebrows are semi-bushy, though his left eyebrow has two slits separating where his hair grows. Kai is tough and unapproachable due to his stand-offish demeanor. He seethes with mysteriousness, and people are quick to see that he’s bad news. Mordekai currently works as a drug dealer to make a living, and though he isn’t proud of what he’s doing, he’ll do anything to survive. He works in the cover of night, taking to a corner that’s far away from the crowded streets of Queens. He is constantly surrounded by slow passing cars that occasionally stop for drug addicts to get their next fix, and bared wire fences that imprison abandoned warehouses and factories. It’s a place where Kai makes his living, and he’s never been caught by police and secretly prides himself in that. Mordekai is fast, and he knows the streets of Queens better than police, and he hides in an alley way where he used to live when he was eleven.

Kai currently resides in the house he grew up in, and he refuses to restore the house. The two floor house is large and spacious. The outside of it still remains in its chipped white paint glory. Dandelions and wild flowers have taken over the once well kept yard, but now the grass is slowly beginning to grow taller than four inches. He lives with three of his gang members, and they’re practically related, and have known each other since they were reckless teenagers let loose on the streets. Kai’s personality isn’t what most consider to be the best. He holds copious amounts of hate and anger, and with his temperament it’s a deadly combination… Literally. Kai doesn’t like anyone outside of his gang, and he’ll show this by actions and not words. He’s arrogant and belligerent, and he has no problem telling you off, or making you taste your own blood. Kai is cunning and rather manipulative, and he’s quite the charmer to the women who catch his eye but he never keeps them around for long. Kai boxes in his free time, and will run for miles to get his mind off of things. If he’s not doing any of those things, he’ll be with his gang members just to relax, or they will cause some havoc just to amuse themselves. His favorite food is barbeque chicken, and when his mom was still alive anything she made was his favorite. Kai only completed sixth grade, and so his reading level is very minimal, and therefore he has no favorite book. But any story his siblings or his parents told him when he was younger have always been his favorite. Mordekai’s favorite movie is “Get Rich or Die Trying.” He’s watched that movie at least thirteen times, and it never gets old to him.

One bad habit that Mordekai has is that he’s an alcoholic, and he’s been drinking ever since he was sixteen. When he walks along the streets, the people around him constantly second guess this unpredictable man. They’re afraid of him and with the scars from knives and chains that riddle his body they stay even farther away. He’s barely approached by any strangers, and when he’s bumped into people are quick to get out of his way and apologize. Some are curious of him, and wonder what may lie beneath the surface for looks are only skin deep, but are often faced with a guarded man who won’t let anyone in. Others only briefly question Mordekai before occupying themselves with other things, and avoid him at all costs. The one accomplishment that Kai has made in his life is that he used to be the star player on his school’s basketball rec team, and no one knows of this.


And I was happy with the out come of this that I decided to write a little story based off this character. Being the little notebook writer that I am (Yes, I write in notebooks. Haha.), the story is coming along well in my opinion. But I'll type up the chapters later and put them up here. Enjoy and thanks for reading!!
