contrary to an almost certain belief, the tigress of such a large size could move quickly and just as stealthily through the forest. she had left her two tiny cubs under the care of a small hollow under a large compilation of boulders, some as large as a small house. ah, the white feline was on a hunting expedition. that much was easy to tell by the flaming intensity of her turquoise gaze. those vibrantly colored optics never let up on their imploring voice nor their curiousity. the long limbs of the white ess took a light trot, just enough to eat the distance between herself and whatever food she came across in an appeasable manner. it was when the steam of her jungle relented in its perpetuality that she was able to distinguish the scent of a large boar tapir.
they were smaller than herself, which only made her job easier, but they had a vicious temper, though not as bad as a boar or a moose. "how wonderful." the kissers parted in a harmonic vocalization. rayunga's impossibly long body stretched out to change her rate of speed to a full run; her performing structure becoming the symbolism of superb grace and fluency. the round white audits were perked upwards and the ivory daggers of both mouth and paw were extended and displayed as her charge became of the necessary speed. tapirs had an excellent sense of hearing and smell. the male tapir knew his death was coming. fight or flee? flee now, fight later, if possible. the black and white siberian tigress flew out of the underbrush of her forest to burst forth into more of an excessive speed to catch the flighty tapir.
paws worked with muscled pistons which in turned worked with the toned sinew of the shoulder and haunches. starvation and the need to feed her young fueled the already consuming fire. the taunt body which totalled a length of just over 10 feet long worked harder and harder, even though the lungs were screaming in protest. those turquoise eyes grew seemingly brighter as long claws finally found recess within the flanks of the prey's black and white body. it was like a song to her ears, the bellow of agony that sounded from the boar tapir. her force of natural machinery brought them to the present action of rolling across the leaf and insect-littered grounds of rayunga's jungle.
coming to a stop, the huge female used her claws to lay wounds to bare bone. no, this tapir's temper was nothing compared to the hunger and ferocity of this mother of two. a roar resounded for miles across the hunting rena as those piercing canines tore out the windpipe. such a struggle was now over. the lean femme whipped around a bloodied front towards the direction from which she came. her two cubs were waiting for her. waiting for their only safe haven: their mother. looking back at her fallen victim, she sighed. the work of a mother was never done until the day she died. "coming my loves." crimson liquid fell into her mouth as she grabbed the back of the fatty neck.
it didn't take her long, as rayunga's body was fit and used to such overzealous exercise. however, it was tragedy of her life that her home's safety was also a danger. the mistiness of today's weather covered up most all scents. but as she came to the pristine part of her domain, it was made known to her that a disturbing presence was at her cubs' den. temper flared into action, as so did mind. she disengaged her mouth from the tapir's neck as she picked up a headlong run the rest of the meters to her hiding place for her babes. his scent was there, mingling with theirs. fright and anger created a turmoil in her stomach and heart. her cubs were gone! they were taken by the unknown male tiger! the siberian tigress dipped down as far as her massive frame would allow to sniff for her cubs, to see if they were just hiding further within. they were not.
yanking her upper body out, an angry roar boiled from her throat. "reshedai! cayuga!" her son, her daughter, they had been taken from her. for what reason, she did not have a clue. if they were alive....she did not have a clue. her bod moved around and about, but then a single whisper of movement was heard and those acute peaks caught it. her head snapped to look to the shadows of her right. six pairs of eyes were gazing at her: one two pairs blue, and the third, higher raised that the others, were a blazing amber. and from the darkness of the foliage stepped an enormous orange siberian tiger, larger than even herself, holding two tiny cubs in his large maws.
i wrote it purely out of a scene i saw in my head. ^^ you can comment, or reply with your own take of it from another character's point of view. do what you will with it.
