HEY MY WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!!!!!
I missed you all so much and couldn't wait to reply to my threads for the whole week! Of course, no one posted -waves finger and tsks- BAD!! Just Kidding!
So as you know, I took a seven day cruise to Alaska. I freezed my tail off! Now, here's how it went:
Day one: Get on a plane from England and fly to LA! WOOT! Drive all the way to Seatle with my sister complaining the whole way that the steering wheel was on the wrong side. When we finally got to Seatle, we took a plane up to Port Angeles. The littlest of my little sisters really really REALLY wanted to go to Forks (Being a Twilight fan and all)
Day two: Say good bye to the people on Shady Lane than get on a cruise ship called: The Raphsody of the Seas. A very nice ship. Large! But still small enough to where I still hit my head on the ceiling in my stateroom. I got to share a room with my littler little sister. She's eight and doesn't care if I see her in a towel.
We set sail at around noon screaming good bye to the people who got the boat going in the first place...
Day three: Probably the worst day of my life. We hit a storm and everyone on board got sea sick. Too bad for the crew they had to clean up barf in the hallways -evil laugh-
So, we all stayed in bed and suffered through.
Day four: So, after a day of sea sickness. We docked in Jeunau Alaska. My lovely family of insanity got to get off early. We took a float p-lane up to Denali where our Eskimo-of-a-cousin lives. He didn't live in an igloo (thank god!) We speant a day up there before heading back to the capital of doom to get back on the ship. Sadly, it left without us and we had to fly to Skagway. The next port. So, we went horseback riding. I was allowed to run the horse (a beautiful skewbald QH named Sage.) I had to use a mounting block which was embarassing. Had to follow the rules. -_- I was a foot taller than Sage anyway. We also went whale watching. And yes, we saw whales. (I'll show you the pics as soon as I get my camera unpacked.)
Day five: Another day at sea, we were heading down to Victoria, British Columbia. We spent the day by the pool, it was seventies night and I did my world famous Elvis impression. I learned that when you go backstage in a Cruise ship's showroom you need to learn how to be in very small places.
Day six: Day at sea. At least this time the water was calm but it was COLD! Everyone stayed off deck and I went to the spa! IT WAS AWESOME! Being wrapped up in seaweed is weird.....Nothing really happened that day any way.
Day seven: CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not as much bacon as you would think but...I took a tour of the city and gardens and it was beautiful! You can't go three feet without running into a rose. They also had wonderful homes and a rivalry between the "British" side of Victoria. Oak Bay. Now, being British myself I couldn't help but take Oak Bay's side.
At around 6:00 PM It was time to get back on board. When the ship was finally out of the harbour. Guess what we saw! A whale breeching of the starbord side. I was so upset that I didn't have my camera. Humpback whales are my third fav animals (being after horses and dogs).
Day eight: Back in Washington we left Raphsody and headed back to Seatle by car. And once again Layra's blabbering got us no where with the "THE WHEEL'S ON THE WRONG SIDE!" speech.
Day nine: We speant a night in LA, before heading back to England. I slept the whole way home.
Day ten: Here we are. Back home....UNPACKING! Me, staring out the window, wishing I could've kidnapped the chef.
TA-DA!
