Atlas pranced, knees high, in his own piaffe. It worked too. His normal walk would of way out paced the dirty little mark next to him. Those other hands were mostly in his long legs with made a very long legged gate. He covered a lot of ground, but his main weakness would always be sharp turns. But hey, right know he was showing off and rubbing what he could do in. Poor little Hiki. He reached over and nibbled on her mane affectionately. Her neck had gathered some sweat from where it was under her mane (why was that stuff good again?) but he didn't mind. It's ok. I can't rear and jump. You got that one on me
Can you try NOT to kill yourself? Geez, seriously! Alexis scoffed and scolded Aso. I mean, he could of just like fractured his skull and he wasn't supposed to ride and now look at him? Testing his luck again... You're not a cat. You got one life, live it up but need to die... She narrowed her eyes and appraised him. a youngin She could of said somewhat young, but he didn't look old. She guessed he was a year or so younger than herself. Gosh, this was making her feel old... Internally she pouted.
Not any long legged or short horse could do that. If he had hit it, the rail wouldn't have just rolled out of a cup. Any taller horse would of had half a stride, and that wouldn't have worked out well She stuck her tongue out at him again. Patting her stallion's neck as she did so. He didn't need to know he had done good, but it never hurt.
(OCC: lol dont worry. This post feels short anyways

[[ooc;; sorry for the late reply, again, muse left me and then we were driving a lot D:]]
Hiki nodded and quickly spun around in place, making Aso grab a hold again and almost loose his seat once more. She let out a loud neigh, feeling her competitive edge go up. Ha! That’s one thing. Maybe it’s the fact that I have spots too, or a mane, but then again, maybe you weren’t meant to have one? No worries though, it’s not all that it’s worked up to be, She had a sparkle in her eye and couldn’t sit still anymore.
Aso shook his head and gave Hiki a small slap on the butt, which made her kick out with one of her back legs. Luckily it wasn’t at Atlas, she was just excited. “Gosh darn it Hiki! What the heck? Are you trying to kill me?” he asked, pulling on the lead hard, making her toss her head up, nostrils flaring. He sighed and glanced at Alexis.
“Sorry about that…” he started, scratching the back of his head. “It seems like she is now trying to kill me,” he grinned, didn’t know why Hiki was suddenly acting up. Well, he wouldn’t say it wasn’t like her, cause it was…at some random points in time. “Yeah I know, but it is so tempting…”
“A youngin’? Excuse me Ms. Alexis, but you might just be a few years older than me from your looks. You’re still young too then! I won’t get old till I’m fifty five!” He thrusted his fist into the air, like a dramatic anime character who just declared they were going to beat their enemy.
He laughed and then turned Hiki around, seeing she was dancing in place, before he straightened her out. “Gosh, she’s so skittish now. It’s like she wants to run head first into something…”

Atlas snorted, rolling his hips and stomping the ground with his back feet and arching his neck and nipping at the air around her. Acting like he was going to kick at her, but he knew better. He was more of a gentlemen. Plus he had Alexis on him. God, him and Hiki really were opposites. He had a limit of acting up. He knew how much Alexis could handle. And Hiki was constantly trying to kill Aso! But if they were in a pasture of something, he would soooo get that silly little mare.
Alexis slapped the stallion's neck sharpily. Not enough to actually hurt him, he was too big plus she probably couldn't anyways, but enough to actually make him listen. The black jumped in false alarm, and Alexis pushed him hard with her inside leg. Forcing him into a strung crab step. He tossed his head, and scowled again. Walking again but quite a bit away from Hiki this time.
No worries, he isn't being much better. I think Hiki's rubbing off of him! She laughed loudly, winking at him. Not seductively or anything, just showing she was joking about the Bad Mare comment. Letting Atlas flow into his natural walk free from temptations you could say, and he quickly passed Hiki's short little legs. There was a metallic click of his shoes on the concrete and he stepped into the barn. She reined him in at to catch her fall. Hey, Atlas was tall for her too. She'd look a lot better on Hiki. She was her size. Little.
Please, you'll be old in no time. I can already see the arthritis in your knees! She stuck her tongue at him, rubbing the white spot on Atlas' head kindly, kissing his nose.

Hiki tossed her head as she trotted in place next to Atlas. Another dressage move that was taught to her back when Aso and her were in the circus. It was a hard one to get down, since she continued to move forward instead of stay in place. Her neck arched, giving her the look of being Arabian-like or Andulsian-like. It was a silly illusion that she had learned on her own, not knowing the effects of it.
Aso sat lightly on her back, still holding on to her mane as she bounced in place, his hips lightly moving with the mare. It was fun, he was enjoying the little antics she did as Atlas crab stepped away from them. Aso then glanced towards Alexis, and laughed with her. “Yeah, I believe she is as well. Hiki, you demon!” he laughed, shaking his head and letting Hiki walk behind Atlas. She nosed at his back legs and felt pressure from Aso’s leg, and moved to the left. He was going to wash her off first.
He dismounted and stuck his tongue out at Alexis, towards her comment about him getting old. “Not before you though,” he grinned and put Hiki on the cross ties. The mare perked her ears forward as he unhooked the lead line from her halter, and put the lunge up on a hook with it. He started the hose, and held it up to her muzzle to let her get a sip from it. She snorted as some water went into her nostrils, and Aso stuck his finger against the water, making the spray go faster and harder.
Hiki let out a tiny neigh as he sprayed the water onto her shoulders and back, her muscles twitching as the cold water hit her. She stretched her neck and shook her head, making water fly about, getting Aso wet. “Hey now! I want to be dry!” he laughed, rubbing her forehead and making sure to get under her belly. He turned the water off and grabbed a rubber wiper, running it against her, watching grey water fall from her and splattering onto the ground.
Ick…sweat.
The mare perked her ears and let out a loud neigh, towards Atlas. See! They are spots, not dirt!

If a horse could raise his eye brows, well first, if a horse had eye brows, Atlas was raising them. So lets get this straight, Hiki had permanent dirt spots? He snorted at that. "That could be worse, love" He flinched, and shifted away from the spray of the water, the top of his coat twitching. Eh, he had already had his bath today, no need for another one. He was easily getting bored. Barns were such a boring place! Ugh, nothing at all to do! He tossed his head, and pawed at the ground, flicking his tail and shifting about. Alexis flicked Atlas with his lead and turned him around in a short, tight, circle. She knew he was getting bored of being contained all day, but she would still have none of that. The tall horse scowled at her and stood still. This better not take long! Oh get over it A She rubbed his neck and sat down at his feet, leaning back against his squared front legs. Hey, she was tired. Can't blame her. She woke up at 5 to do intense training for an hour and half and then she ran upon Aso and Hiki. Atlas sighed from above her, and lipped at her hair in apology. So what are you doing after this, dearest Aso? She asked, looking up at the man and his mare curiously.
[Ekk, its ok. This was a sucky post anyways]

Hiki snorted and tossed her head at Atlas. How? I think they give me character What ever character was, she had heard Aso use that word once. She shook her body, sending water droplets here and there, getting Aso wet in the process. “Hey! Stop it! Ugh, first you try to kill me, then you try to kill me again, and now you’re getting me soaked! Hiki, you are unbelievable,” he muttered, forgetting that Alexis was about. He looked down at his wet shirt, sighed, and took it off. His back was turned to Alexis, exposing the large scar running down his back. He hung up the damp shirt on the pole as he unhooked Hiki from the cross ties.
The mare danced around Aso, flicking her wet tail back and forth, before he led her into the barn, glancing at Atlas. She stuck her nose out and nudged his leg with it, trying to get more attention from the dashing stallion. Aso glanced at Alexis and shrugged. “Don’t know. Work? Spend some time at home? Sleep?” he replied and leaned against the mare’s shoulder. “What are you doing, dearest and most sexy Alexis?” he asked, teasing her, but saying it truthfully.

Alexis giggled as Hiki did more damage. They were an awkward, but cute couple for sure. Shit, were Atlas and she like that? He pulled her around on the ground, acting up rearing, kicking, and bucking, the works. Crap, they were..."We're going to have to work on that..."She grumbled, looking up at her stallion's chin. She reached up and rubbed her jerky boys muscular chest, and twisted to kiss the front of his knee. God he really was tall... The stallion glanced down at her curiously, curious to her tone of voice. She had no idea what she was actually saying, but it had a funny tone to it, plus she had an odd mood to her. What was that? She was talking to him, and about him. What ever, he liked the kiss. Rather the ladies man, him. His slender, ears flicked forward as Hiki caught his attention again. Her whiskery nose tickled his skin and it shivered in evidence. Nickering lowly, he arched his neck and nibbled at the mane at her wither affectionately. I guess you are right, it suits you No harm or pun intended. She was quirky, it was only fair that she'd be covered in finely shaped patches of dirt. Well they weren't dirt... What exactly were they than???
I am so jealous. That was indeed the first thing going through Alex's mind as Aso took his shirt off. It took her another two thoughts to notice the scar. What was the second thought you ask? Damn he has a nice back. Yes, that was really it. Something about the way guys arched their backs when they took their shirts off... Even she didn't know why their muscles rippled so. It sure wasn't the same when she took her shirt off. No one cared about her back. It was pretty much the two growths on her chest plate that caught attention. I mean, two growths, not just one, two. Creepy stuff. Hard not to look at. She understood. But when she did notice the scar she didn't voice it. She internally wondered how she got it. Car crash, fell from a tree, gang war? Last one was her favorite of course. Her hands crawled with the want to run her finger tips over it. Ugh. She felt slutty. She figured he'd tell her about it if he wanted to. Everyone had there one fucked up thing. "Can't I take my shirt off too..." She whimpered and pouted at that. So unfair! Oh...sexy...really? "I dunno, get a bite to eat, wake up a tad? I wouldn't mind some company. Help me up?" She flashed a sweet dazzling smile, holding out one of her tiny hands towards him.

Aso smiled as Atlas dragged Alexis around and practically forced the girl against his legs. He was a tad surprised at her kissing the horse’s knee, but what ever floated her boat floated it well. The two went together like peas in a pod. Atlas needed a strong person to keep him in line when he acted up and who better than the finely muscled Alexis? She clearly had complete control over the stallion and it was very impressing. He and Hiki had more of an understanding relationship than a dominance over the other kind. If he wanted Hiki to do something, he’d “ask” with either a signal or vocalization, and vice versa. The just…understood each other in a strange way.
Blinking, he noticed Alexis had a certain look in her eyes and he knew what it was. She thought his back was nice. Ha! He had seen that look so many times whenever he was out in California at the beach. Even when he was younger, it seemed he had a nice back, though it was scar less back then. Must’ve been nicer to look at. He let out a laugh at Alexis’ comment. “I wouldn’t mind, but I think it’s against the rules for girls to take their shirts off. I’m sure you don’t want me to be staring at a certain place while you’re trying to have a conversation with me, though even clothed it is tempting,” he replied, grinning slyly at her. Yes, she was more good-looking now that he had gotten to know he better.
“But, being the ‘gentleman’ I am, I won’t look if you do decide to strip down to your bare nothings,” he bowed, sweeping his arm out before him and to his right. When he straightened up, Hiki took a nip at his shoulder, and let out a tiny whinny of a laugh. “Yeah, you just wished I loved you like that,” he muttered, glaring at the mare.
“I believe, dinner sounds good before I, or we, head off to work,” he started and walked over. He’d leave Hiki unattended for now, it seemed she was flirting with the stallion again anyways. “Of course your highness, I’d love to,” he said, standing next to her. “Alright, on the count of three…” he said, taking hold of her lower left leg.
Hiki twisted her ears to the sides. It does? I guess they do, but flies love them… she shook her head and reached down to scratch at her right foreleg, where, surprisingly, a fly had landed and started to annoy her skin. She bit at it and watched it fly away and land on Atlas. There it is! Get it!

"Oh, but who would you tell if I just flat out took my shirt off right here and now?" I mean, who would win in that situation? She being all less hot, and you, it's giving Aso a nice view. Oh lord, she had a lacy bra on today too... That was one luxury she allowed herself. She didn't dress fancy nor expensive, but oh how she loved fancy bras and thongs. It made her boobs self esteem go up. They were well shaped but they sure as hell were Ds or anything. So really, her being topless was a win win. She threw her head back and laughed at him being a gentleman. What a JOKE! She pulled a hand up to her shoulder and pushed her tank top strap out of the way, exposing the slender, red satin ribbon that was her bra strap. She may of moved it to far out of the way really, because it was also easy to see the cute seductive little bow where the strap ended. Wink. "You so sure?" A sly smile of her own crossed her puckers. Oh how she loved flirting. Back in New York everyone already knew her. There wasn't anyone new to meet there. And all the people back there just knew her as the tomboy she was when she was sixteen, not as this girl. A small giggle leaked out of her at what she did and at him grabbing her foot. Silly boy. She grew up street worthy. All of her best friends were tom boys. Did he really think tugging on her foot would do much? She twisted her foot and jerked it out of his hands, probably pulling him forward a bit, but she didn't really notice. She was busy pulling herself up to a quick standing position, so close to Aso that their nose's brushed. "Think you could handle me lover boy?" She purred, laying one on the lips and then spinning around and bolting away from him.
Behind her, Atlas had other things on his mind. A fly in fact. He couldn't stand em! He stepped back from Alexis and shook his body roughly like he was wet. It had landed on his shoulder, which he quickly twisted and nipped at. He threw his head and stomped his feet, a paranoia that they were all over him. Alexis had a hell of a time with him and flies. She put the bio spot stuff on him every two weeks on the dot, and covered him in fly spray before every ride. He just couldn't stand it! Where he lived in England, the rainy winters were hell. It attracted flies from all around. He had only lived there for a few years but it had left a deep impact you could say. And besides, that fly had been had. It laid dead on the ground, and may it rot in hell! Ugh... He jumped slightly as Alexis went tearing off. Oh, in a playful mood, eh? Well what ever, it wasn't intended for him to chase her. Nope, it was the other guy. But as she ran off, it left him with no responsibility to fallow her nor stay here. Sweet. Tossing his head at the girls shenanigans, he trotted past Aso, ears pinned back daring him to grab his lead. Whinnying at Hiki, he got onto the grass and loped out into the open fields, grazing on the lush Kentucky sod next to his paddock.

Oh, but who would you tell if I just flat out took my shirt off right here and now?
Aso cocked an eyebrow at Alexis’ words. Oh boy, was she seriously? He grinned to himself and of all the thoughts running through his head. Wait…bad! He mentally slapped himself in the face over and over again. Weren’t they just going to be friends or something and here they were, flirting up a storm, each wanting the other as the seconds passed by. Ugh! Why was she so tempting and why was this the wrong place and wrong time? Here, he had just wanted to take Hiki out for a lunge and now he was worrying about whether he was going to get jiggy with Alexis or not.
He felt his face redden slightly as Alexis’ movement with her shirt. Red…satin, and there was a bow! Oh the horror! He gulped slightly and heard her voice ringing in his ears. You so sure? Well, not anymore thank you! Then, she was up! Just like that. Personally, wouldn’t he have grabbed her hand? Why did he go for her leg? Ugh Aso, you’re slipping! He was still thinking of how stupid he was when he felt their noses brush lightly against each other. Woah! Close! He stared into her eyes and heard her voice once more. Think you could handle me lover boy? Lover boy? What the heck was that about? He was about to protest when he felt a tiny peck on the lips and his mind just went blank.
A kiss. He got a kiss. No matter how small it was. He got a kiss. From a girl he just met, from a girl he just wanted to be friends with, and he got a kiss. What a day! He stood there for a moment, before he started after her. That was, up until Atlas started to stomp around. He wondered what was bothering the horse, until he noticed a little black speck on the ground. A fly? The horse stomped on a fly. Scary. Then, Atlas ran off, giving Aso a look. Hiki looked as if she wanted to follow, so Aso went over to her and unhooked the lead from her halter. “Behave…not sure if I will, but stay out there and don’t you dare run off,” he whispered, giving her a slight pat on the neck. The mare snorted and ran after Atlas tossing her tail as she went.
As for Aso, he looked at the direction where Alexis ran off and followed her. “Alexis! Hey! Get back here!” he called.
Hiki caught up with the stallion and nudged him lightly, announcing her presence to him. She grabbed at some grass, munching on it. You really don’t like flies do you?

Atlas raised his head as Hiki came a running, blades of grass falling out of his lips as he whinnied words of encouragement. Yeah, fight the man! Show him whose boss. The man just wants to break you down, control you! Gosh he sounded like a hippie. She hadn't really broken free either. She had been let lose with stern words to fallow. He snorted at that, him ruining his rebel dream of his, that was. He hadn't really either, his person just ran off. She probably knew enough that he wasn't going anywhere. For the past hour or so all he wanted was to just get to the grazing portion of his life. Which was now. Atlas flicked his tail at the spotted mare and nibbled on the spot where the fly bit her, dried saliva marking the spot. Dirty mare...wasn't it enough that she was already covered in dirt spots? He itched the itch. Do you?
Alexis wasn't about to stop just because Aso was calling her name. Say my name... Well that was just dirty wasn't it? Gosh. Nope, it would take her falling down to bring her to a grinding, and numbingly painful halt. But were not there yet. Lets go back a few minutes. Ok, so here she was, tearing down the aisle. Any horses that were poorly fated enough to be stuck in their stalls during the day scowled at being startled by here. She wasn't an endurance runner, but she was a mad sprinter. She had taught herself how to run. I mean there's running, and then there's running. It was all about paying attention to your feet. Heels ankle toe, heels ankle toe. Your heel hit the ground first, your ankle rotated it, and your toe left the ground last. And once you noticed that, you strived on making it faster. She had learned to run by running from the street cops in New York. They didn't do much so any kid that was off doing bad things was a target, and she was always doing bad things. The only time she hesitated in this sprint was when she glanced back to see if Aso was fallowing. After a minute of delay, he was indeed chasing after her. She didn't really pay attention to what he was saying, but she knew it was something along the lines of stop or slow down. Ya, now. She snickered through her breathing. She never liked fallowing the rules. Found them to be silly. She knew that as a friend, she wasn't supposed to taunt Aso with bra straps and kisses, but that wasn't the only reason she had enter this game. To break the rules that is. She had because she had wanted to. Why deny the so basic and primitive want to tease, taunt, and kiss? She liked Aso, there was no denying that. How much? Well she had just kissed him. Not a full blow out thing, just enough to catch him off guard and throw him off. Ok, back to the painful fall. Opps, I think I just gave it away. Reaching out, she latched onto a corner part in the barn, trying to use it as leverage for her turn. Normally this would of been super easy. Just grab onto something and propel yourself in that direction. But no, her hand haaaad to slip. And since that slipped, her momentum was thrown about and she completely just whipped out, falling hard on her hip and rolling twice. Oww her hip hurt... her arms were a little roughed up but that was all. She had been dealt worse. Her side would have a pretty little bruise, and hey, maybe she could show Aso it later. Gosh, she was at it again! Hey, wait a second. How close was Aso behind her again???

Hiki nodded, before tearing at the grass again. I do, they are very annoying, she flicked her ears back towards the barn, hearing what sounded like a tiny thump. Even from this far, she could hear faint sounds coming from the barn like a horse neighing, or people talking, but it was usually very slurred and hard to understand. She lifted her head and looked at the pasture gate. Say, can you jump that? He had jumped the round pen earlier, so why couldn’t he jump the pasture fence? It wasn’t as high as the round pen, and she had a feeling she could jump it if she got into the right angle, but she wanted to see if the large stallion would do it first.
Aso raced through the barn after Alexis. It probably was a rule that they weren’t supposed to run or make loud noises when passing through the barn, since it annoyed the horses. But that wasn’t going through his head at the moment as he ran after Alexis. Though, if someone had noticed them, they’d be nagged from here to the edge of the world! He laughed as he caught sight of her and then noticed she was going for a turn. He sped up, seeing as he was just jogging before and watched her arm reached out, hand ready to grab at the corner. But, her hand slipped and she went flying! Sliding to a stop, mouth dropped open, Aso tried not to laugh as he walked up to the fallen Alexis.
“You ok? That was quite a fall!” he said, grinning and holding his hand out towards her once he caught up. She seemed ok, might have a bruise in a bit, but all around alright. Gosh, she was a fast runner. He wondered if it was due to chasing Atlas around, having a feeling that the stallion frequently made get a ways from her. He was still thinking of the kiss she had given him, even if it was a peck. He hadn’t been kissed in a long time, he almost thought this was his first one all over again, until he thought back to when he was living in Japan and all the trouble he had gotten into in the past. Yeah, first kiss happened so long ago. Pretty little girl gave him a very welcoming one too.
He wondered how she was doing, but then remembered she was dating some gang member in Osaka, probably cheating on him with five other guys at once.
As he waited for Alexis to take his hand, he wondered if the kiss had meant anything aside from a sweet little flirt kiss. Maybe she might become more than a friend, but one with benefits in the near future. Oh boy, co workers and now flirts, what more was going to happen today?

Atlas, shifted, stepping on his lead. What a pain. Nipping at the grass he flicked his blue eye up, glancing at the fence. Easy, but why would I want to? He picked his head up and trotted randomly about. They had all this open land to themselves! Every other horse was stuck in their paddocks or in a stall. He used to drive his trainers mad. If he got bored with where he was he'd just jump the fence. Jumping was a skill he picked up fast. He was one of the horses that would jump out of his stall if he could. Hense he had stall guards and grills here. Snorting, he picked up a canter, tossing his head and kicking up his heels. His canter was long gaited, at least in Hiki terms probably. For him it was just what ever. He just knew that if he was in a hunter show he had to lope. He whinnied loudly and reared up. Stretching out his back as he stood straight up, his iron clad hooves pawing at the sky. See, this is what he loved about being outside, not in his stall. He could stretch out and feel his oats.
Farther away, Alexis was feeling her ache. Not like she'd let onto it or anything. She could practically feel it bruising. Sho, she was going to need a few drinks at work tonight, just to be able to work. Hey, Aso was working tonight too right? Huh, hope he wasn't looking into the kiss to much. She didn't even know what it meant. She lived her life on a whim. Rarely planning things past her nose. And most men freaked out and settled way down once they got into a relationship. That was probably what she didn't like about dating. Men acted instantly whipped, and horribly needy. She needed her own space. She didn't mind people tagging along, in fact she loved company. But just the obligation to always be around this one person ached. Alexis waved away his hand, laughing at herself. It's quite comfortable down here you know? She shifted so she propped her throbbing leg up and laid on her back, stretching out her arms. What did a little barn floor hurt? Care to join me? She asked, a taunting tone in her voice. Almost like dare in the form of a question and smile.

For the heck of it? Hiki flicked her ears as she watched Atlas canter away and she laughed to herself that he still had his lead trailing behind him. She hoped it wouldn’t get caught on anything while he cantered across the ground, because it would be devastating for the giant stallion. She took one more chomp at the grass surrounding the paddock they were standing by, before she trotted after him. When she caught up to the mighty male, he was rearing, stretching out his back and neck, looking larger than before. She trotted past him, tail high, and moved in front of him, and going ahead.
Come on you slow poke! she laughed before she picked up a neat little canter, keeping her legs under her. Oh dang, if a human saw the two of them out, they’d freak and probably go get Aso and Alexis after bashing them on letting their horses run free.
Aso stared down at Alexis, his hand still out, and shook his head. This girl was so confusing. He pulled his hand back, grinning even though he was shaking his head still, and sat down next to Alexis. Once down, he lay back on the ground, arms stretched out. He felt the dirt touching his bare back and it was very cooling. He was still grinning as he stared over at Alexis. “I have to agree, it is comfortable. Who knew?” he replied, closing his eyes. Him and dating usually went alright. Though, he wasn’t really set on dating one person at one time, and usually had multiple girlfriends, or boyfriends, and was very good at keeping them away from each other. But, it had been awhile since he had ever considered dating anyone, just because money and taking care of Hiki were more important to him.
Letting out a tiny sigh, he opened his eyes and stared up at the clouds. “I just wish I didn’t have to worry about making money. Like, rich enough to just sit on a hill or something and watch the clouds go by. Wouldn’t that be nice?” he whispered.

Alexis didn't know how to respond to Aso's comment at first. And how could she? She had enough money to live that kind of life. And right now, it was sitting in the back collecting, and making even more little money babies. But there was some part of her that just wouldn't let her spend that money on herself. She had only gone out and bought her car because she was mad. It wasn't fair of them to leave her alone! Where was her dad to keep her from leaving the house at midnight, where was her mom to tell her that she was sleeping with all the wrong guys? On more than one event she just wished she would die too. She bought a car that went to fast, spend everywhere. Jumped recklessly, hung out with the wrong crowds. Her uncle didn't make much of a parent. And it took a year for her parents death to really sink in and hit. "Not me. I'd get too bored" She left it short and sweet at that. Stretching, she reached out and arched her back, groaning softly. She brushed a wavy strand of hair out of her eyes and looked up, blinking at the rafters. Spiders webs were blowing softly in the breeze, and birds were eying them warily, feathers ruffled. This was enough for her right now. She didn't ask for much. Comfortable jeans, a good ride, and a roof to keep her head dry every now and then. She rolled over on her side and looked at Aso, eyes bright, wide, and curious. "Say Aso, it's said that everyone lives for something. So what are you living for? That house on the hill?"
Farther off, Atlas kicked up his heels and took off at a sprint past Hiki. Snorting at her as he quickly passed the gal. He stretched out, morphing into a long black streak like a thoroughbred. Psh! What an insult. Thoroughbred where nothing without his Arabian cousins. And even now they were defective as hell. Bad feet, bad legs, to dumb and young. He wasn't extremely fast though, on a race track a well bred thoroughbred could beat him. For he was an endurance runner after all. Him and an arab could go neck and neck for hours. He slowed down enough for Hiki to match his pace, one slender ear pointed forward and the other flicked flush back to catch all the sounds. His blue eye smirked wickedly. Slow poke?

Aso blinked at her replies. He wasn’t too shocked at her first response, only because he guessed she had some cash if she had a stallion like Atlas. He must’ve been a pricy catch, though knowing the horse’s behavior, he might’ve been priced a bit low. He grinned. She was very forward and opinionated, it was almost cute. He watched her stretch and he felt his muscles tensing and wanting to be stretched too. So, up his arms went, the sound of his shoulder bones cracking as he stretched upward. He let out a loud sigh and relaxed once more.
He was taken off guard a bit at her question and twisted his head to stare at her. “Me? Well, I’m living for myself and Hiki right now. But I’m working towards that house on the hill, that’s for sure,” he replied and got quiet for a moment. He took a breath before he continued. “For me, my life has been about living up to someone else’s expectations, my parents for most, but I wasn’t the perfect child for them, unlike my little sister. God, she was perfect, and everyone loved her. I do too, but it was a tad annoying hearing how she made all of these perfect things happen and how I should be just like her,” he explained. “Well, I got kicked out of my own home a couple of years ago and till then, I’ve been traveling around this country looking for work which led me here. I must say, I didn’t know I was going to be picking a horse up on the way, but I don’t regret it one bit. Hiki is my life now and I want what is best for her. It almost sounds like I’m taking care of a child, but I guess that’s how I can relate her in my life,” He paused, glancing at the sky and watching a bird fly over head.
“One day, a house on the hill would be nice, but surrounding it will be a nice, open pasture for her. A little stable maybe, one or two more horses, and a family for me, but that’s like…way in the future for me. I just need to get by as I can, and if I have to move to another place, I’m willing to do that. As long as it provides for Hiki, I’m fine,” He stopped then, realizing he was rambling and grinned. “Sorry you had to hear that, I’m quite sorry,” he laughed and ran his hands through his hair and then over his face, a smile still on his face.
Hiki glanced up at Atlas. He had caught up pretty quickly. She snorted in reply and stretched her stride to match his. Her ancestors were bred to be war and hunting horses, so stamina was a biggie in her genes. Though, strength was added there too, which is what separated her from Atlas. He had the lean build, good for running and lasting, while hers was a bit more stocky, for muscle build. She wasn’t going to last as long as Atlas was in any match, but she was going to match him pace for pace now. Just to show she wasn’t a little pony! She stretched her neck out, focusing on the fields ahead, and the other horses around them watching them with interest. A pasture gate was an obstacle and she was either going to go around it or jump over it. The decision was made quickly, only because if she went around it, she’d bump into the stallion and lose some ground. Up and over she went, tucking her legs neatly under her as she went over. Landing, she tried not to lose some pace and kicked off, running towards the other gate.
The horses in the pasture watched with interest and some raced towards her to see what she was up to, but she totally ignored them and leaped over the fence again. This time, though, she lost some ground, as she had to catch herself as she landed. Ugh! I almost had it! she said and slowed down to a trot head bent down, nostrils wide as she breathed. Yeah, she wasn’t a very good endurance runner when it came to speed.

they know you're lonely, and they will only break your heartAND THIS MASTERPIECE WILL TEAR YOU APART
size=1]Alexis listened to him long past his rambling. She didn't mind. She didn't have siblings, so she couldn't entirely understand sibling rivalry but she could tell that it bothered him. Regardless of how much he had loved his sister. Her parents had always pushed her to do better. In sports, in school, everything. Even her the part time job she had a few weeks she had before the plane crash. "I'm an only child, but I know the feeling. Probably not to that degree though" She confessed, meeting his eyes and blinking softly. That wasn't the tragedy of her life though, and her parents death wouldn't be the last one either. She rolled entirely over and nuzzled her face into his shoulder and kissed it a sorry for his shitty past. She laid there for a moment, blinking into his arm, zoning out. A sigh fluttered out of her lungs and she rolled back onto her back, eyes closed. She had an arm propped up with her fingers tangled into her curly mane. Her slender limb casting a delicate shadow across her chest and down into the ground. Her eyes got pale as she opened them, the beautiful sky above reflecting into them and covering it up and challenging her. One more sigh, and this time the beautiful day won. "My parents always pushed me. It wasn't an option to do less then what was expected. I was their only kid, I got all their attention and I didn't want to let them down. They pushed me, but they did it because they loved me. Not because it was an exception. I wanted to be golden for them. " All past-tense as it was supposed to be. Atlas stretched out with her. Though it didn't take as much to keep up. He wasn't a heavy seventeen hand draft. He was light weight and air just slide off of his coat and tore apart the air behind him. He tossed his head, nipping at her shoulder playfully when he could. He whinnied loudly, exciting the horses, mostly the mares, in the paddocks. But his whinny was really for Hiki, not the others. Turning on his heels, he spun around tearing up sod and collected him self quick enough to jump the pasture fence. It was low, but he didn't do it well. He had pretty much just twisting his body and lunged towards to fence at a gallop. He didn't have time to do it well. And the result? The first leg that touched the ground twisted, and he had enough common sense to make it stop. He could of easy torn off his knee if had let it keep going. Instead, his whole self fell down and rolled. Gruffing, he heaved himself back up. Shaking like a dog to get the dust off. He really had no great desire to be spotted like Hiki. He took a step, and yeah his knee ached. An ear twitch would be the only expression of it though. He was stubborn, and he wouldn't let this petty thing keep him down. Tossing his head with a snort, he arched his neck and picked up a prancing trot. The young mares and fillies in the paddock throwing squealing fits. tagg;word count:lyric credit: masterpiece theater ii - marianas trench graphic credit: - outfit: Oh, its coming... muse: Getting higher notes: My laptop is burning a hole in my thigh... credit: BABY DARLING ! @ CAUTION 2.0[/blockquote]

even that silent smile, now makes me happyeven back then, a time we can never go back to ------------------------------------------------------------------ He blinked towards her. A small smile made it’s way across his lips. Well, even if she was an only child, it was a good thing to know that she understood some of the trouble he had with his siblings. He was a little confused at her kissing his shoulder, but kept quiet about it, being as he didn’t know where this new relationship was heading, and he wanted the result to be a surprise. He watched her for a bit before she moved away and looked towards the sky. He was quiet, as she was, when she started to speak, and he listened intently. Her story was not very similar to his, but it was in some ways. The parents wanting the child to do their best was the only similarity, and that’s where it ended. Aso let his parents down almost daily back at home, and he never seemed to get better, which he made it that way. He had just wanted an escape from feeling bound to family traditions and ties, so he did his best to be different.
Then, he was let free.
And now here he was, thousands of miles away from home, sort of home sick, and living off each pay check. His father would’ve said something along the lines of “You’re learning how to be a man, deal with it,” and his mother would’ve cried every time she would see him. His sister would’ve tried to lend him money, but his father would stop her. He could see this playing out if he ever went home. Plus, with Hiki, life over there would be harder. No room to put a mare like her anywhere unless out in the country, and he would have to worry about his father making her dinner or something. He sighed, but decided to not worry about it now, he had more important things to worry about. Like, getting to work.
“Well, you didn’t have to be. What if you felt trapped, like…you couldn’t spread your wings? What would you do then? Deal with it?” he asked, getting more comfortable leaning on his elbows. Some where off in the distance, he thought he heard a familiar neigh, but decided it was one of the horses, not too concerned for Hiki or Atlas.
Speaking of Hiki…
The mare watched Atlas’ grand jump and shook her head, trying to keep herself from joining the other mares. She trotted over to him, a less graceful one, and nuzzled his shoulder lightly. It was funny, but it also looked like it hurt, and she wanted to make sure is leg was ok, being that Alexis would probably throw a fit if Atlas was hurt. What if the human assumed it was Hiki’s fault too? Would that keep her from seeing Atlas? She glanced at his leg and it seemed ok, maybe it’ll be sore for a bit, but it didn’t look to disfigured. He’d be limping for a bit though…
Lifting her head, she let out a soft sigh of contempt, happy to know he wasn’t mortally injured.

they know you're lonely, and they will only break your heartAND THIS MASTERPIECE WILL TEAR YOU APART
This time Alexis just tilted her head and smiled at him, her eyes a little too bright, and her smile tainted and corrupt. “Well, you didn’t have to be. What if you felt trapped, like…you couldn’t spread your wings? What would you do then? Deal with it?” She pulled a hand to her face and rested it over her eyes, blocking the sun out. A sigh fluttered out of her, and it was somewhat of a laugh. Too little freedom? Please. She had had to much. Her parents did restrict her a little, but she wasn't all to much of a bad ass at 15 just yet. I mean, she if she wanted to play three sports, she could. If she wanted to go to a friends how, she did. The plantation-like setting she was born to wasn't a horrible threat. New York was. And her uncle let her do what ever she liked. "I think I had a little too much freedom." She said with a soft laugh. She had probably done a whole color scheme of drugs while she lived there. She defiantly had no problems living. Snorting, she heaved herself forward and stood up. Dusting off her ass, she shook her head. Plucking a tiny piece of straw out of her long mane, she looked over her shoulder at Aso. "So do you feel like you're living yet?'"She asked, her bright eyes catching the sun light. Pulling her fingers up to her lips, a loud whistle pierced the air. Out in the fields of green, a black returned the call in all his stallion glory. A piercing screech that aroused all the other stallions to join in. The black threw his head wildly, rearing up and lashing out at the sky, his shoes catching the glitter. Most of the other mares in the pasture scattered away from the stallion in fright. Another whistle, and he threw up his hind legs, bolting forward. He cleared the fence this time with more ease, and loped towards the barn once more, ears pinned back. He approached the girl, wild once more, like the time they had first met each other. His blue eye judged her wildly, nostrils flared. Yards away from her, he reared up again, blocking out the sun and screeching again. He landed harshly, tearing up his knee more and that only made it worse. Alexis stood there, arms crossed and eyes aflame. I'll have none of this. She stepped forward, her gaze meeting his in a challenge. He squealed bitterly, pawing the ground and nipping at the air. You could almost imagine Alexis as a horse. Ears laid flush, eyes sharp and glaring. If she was a horse she she probably wouldn't be as tall as Atlas. She could only imagine being shorter and stocky, but a hell of a lot wiser than the piece of hell in front of her. Twitching wildly, Atlas squealed one more time but than submitted, letting the woman grab his lead. And he of course yelped in his own horsey way when she hit his ass with it. Looking back at Aso she raised her eye, "Coming?"tagg; Aso, Hiki word count:544 lyric credit: masterpiece theater ii - marianas trench graphic credit: - outfit: www.polyvore.com/cgi/appmuse: good enough notes: Akia is a code word for the KKK, know that? credit: BABY DARLING ! @ CAUTION 2.0[/blockquote]

even that silent smile, now makes me happyeven back then, a time we can never go back to ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lifting a brow, Aso wondered what the laugh was for before she spoke to him. Too much freedom? How does one even have that? He was puzzled, but decided to keep that quiet as well. If she had too much freedom, well good for her, it was the thing he wanted most in the world. But, having to provide for himself and Hiki required time and work, which didn’t provide the freedom he wanted. He probably only experienced that on her back, reins loose in his hands, her body outstretched beneath him, her mane lightly flapping in front of him, racing over the ground, the grass blurred. That was freedom felt to him, and probably every other horse back rider here.
He watched her get up and would’ve been lying if he said he wasn’t staring at her ass. He was, like every other guy would, and wondered what it looked like without clothes on. He blinked and shook his head. Once again, he was so getting a head of himself. He cleared his head in time when Alexis turned her head around and asked him something. He looked up and shrugged. “It all depends on the situation,” he replied, grinning. He got up soon after, but almost fell back again as the powerful stallion’s neigh rang out. What the hell? He looked to Alexis as she whistled again, and would swear he could feel the stallion coming even if he was so far away.
Back with Atlas, Hiki lifted her head at the whistle, ears perked forward and almost shied when Atlas returned the whistle with his loud bellow. She lifted her head and jumped back, before the stallion took off, jumping the fence again. She snorted, ears pinned back, and followed him. Oh, how nice of him to say bye! Tossing her head, she jumped the fence, lightly as before, and landed in stride this time. She kicked off the ground and launched herself in the direction of the stables, tail lashing out behind her.
By the time she appeared, Alexis had gotten hold of him, lead in her hand, and Aso looking bewildered as ever. The mare tossed her head in annoyance at Atlas, nipping his flank as she passed by, trotting over to Aso, and pressing her head against his chest, as if she were mad and wanted reassurance.
The man lightly stroked her neck and scratched behind her ears. “What’s wrong Hiki? Jealous?” he laughed and ruffled her mane. Since he kept the lead with him as he ran after Alexis, he hooked it back to Hiki’s halter and looked towards the girl. He shrugged and circled the mare around him. She was dirty again, but she could skip a second bath, even if she enjoyed it.
“Maybe, depends if I get a kiss again,”

they know you're lonely, and they will only break your heartAND THIS MASTERPIECE WILL TEAR YOU APART
Atlas flattened his ears back, a small welt forming on his rump from his lead. He deserved it undoubtedly, Alexis was far over his young stud phase. And she would defiantly not accept him thinking he could just revert back. He was too big to be acting like a jackass. She couldn't stand people who owned stallions and let them drag them around and act like wild things. Don't own a horse you can't control. It was that easy. She didn't fancy getting a black eye from a horse, and with a stallion you just couldn't be their mare. But. Lucky enough, Atlas didn't act like to much of a stallion. He only lost his temper every now and then, and it was hard pin point what set him off. He had an odd past. Hell the horse was odd all by himself. Rolling on her heels, she bounced her weight and pulled herself back onto the tall black thing. His black pelt quivered where the edges of her pants rubbed him and snorted like she was a burden. Otherwise he made no true protest. He tossed his rump as if he were going to kick at Hiki as she nipped at him, but it was an empty threat at that. Settling herself on the stallion's back, she pointed and flexed her toes. He was a thin and narrow animal, no warmblood here. Getting on a draft horse, or anything with a wide rib cage really did make her thighs stretch and hurt. Her body had grown accustomed to Atlas' build. When they rode, the thought as one and moved as one. The only thing he needed from her was his guidance to where he was supposed to go next. Hearing Aso's comment, Alexis flicked her head back to look at him, a whimsical laughter dancing out of her lips. "That's not how this works sweetheart." Hugging the horse with the top of her right thigh, and pushing on his ribs with the heel of her left leg, Atlas jumped on his hind legs and spun around sharply to Alexis' sure instructions. He tossed his head and pawed at the ground roughly. "Its more like, keep up." Giving him the same cue he spun back around and lunged onto his front legs taking off at a sprint. The sun caught on his flexing sides and reflected off of his ribs and muscles. Painting him various shades of purples and blues. Oh course, the stallions paddock was one of the farthest from the barn. He had raised rails and enforced wood like most of the other stallion paddocks. Though another rail wasn't much of a task to him. All it meant to him was if a romp in the open pastures was worth a day in his stall. It didn't take far to long to reach his enclosure. Alexis had asked him to slow down to a fast canter before they reached his paddock and he obliged. He slide into a walk and halted before his gait, nudging the girls small back as she slide down from his withers. Hurry! Alexis pushed his nose away and unlocked his gate, grabbing his lead in her other hand. He pranced around her and jerked away from her as soon as his halter was off his head. He ran and danced around his paddock, living up his limited freedom. A smile danced across the girls face. She didn't know about human men, but she loved the hessian playing and running in front of her. Sighing contently, she walked into the middle of the paddocked and dropped herself to the ground. Laying on her back, she pulled a hand up to her face and once more chased the sun from her eyes. In a few minutes the stallion pranced over, nuzzling his nose into her hair and tickling her with his whiskers. She giggled and pushed him away again, stroking his long horsey face to make up for the rejection. Atlas flicked his tail and and shifted away, grazing in the grass with his long shadow covering the girl completely. His brown eye looking at her the whole time. tagg; Aso, Hiki word count:701 lyric credit: masterpiece theater ii - marianas trench graphic credit: - outfit: www.polyvore.com/riding/set?id=10703274muse: well notes: haha right?!
